Neil Barrett

Director of Photography
British director of photography Neil Barrett has over 40 broadcast documentary films to his credit. Neil has been honored with a number of awards for his work, including three Emmy Award nominations, an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for excellence in journalism, the Radio Television Digital News Association’s Edward R. Murrow Award for a documentary on the Liberian civil war, and four CINE Golden Eagle Awards for video production. Neil’s work has aired on National Geographic, BBC, PBS, Discovery, The History Channel, NBC, ABC, and CNN. Passionate about feature documentaries, Neil has created films that have been shown at a number of international festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto, Full Frame, SilverDocs, Jackson Hole, and Los Angeles. Four of Neil’s films – “The Woodmans" (2011), "The Other City" (2010), “Kicking It” (2008), and “Everything’s Cool” (2007) – have been released theatrically in the United States.
